Ding 80
During BlizzCon last weekend Blizzard Entertainment announced it’s next expansion, World of Warcraft Cataclysm. Recently I’ve been celebrating in the world because my character hit level 80. I play a dual spec Holy/Shadow priest. While I’ve started a few other characters, my priest is my main and only high level character.
Having friends on different servers I tend to transfer every now and then. If you’ve ever played with Stormhunter, Lightcaster, Bowery, Stormlover, or Mystwalker, you may have been playing with me.
I picked up the game in the summer of 2006 after finishing Warcraft 3. In the Battle Chest box I found a WOW demo. I was hesitant at first because I wanted to play another Warcraft RTS. However, I’ve been playing Blizzard games since they started making them and have never been disappointed. With that in mind I installed the game and the rest is history. I was immediately hooked and had never played a game that I would describe as Alive. Beautiful and full of color, I’ve been playing the game ever since.
While I wouldn’t consider myself hardcore player of the game, I appreciate being able to play it off and on throughout the year. If you haven’t played it yet, I highly encourage you to download the demo. MMOs are a new experience that I think is worth having, even if it is not a long term commitment. They usually have something for everyone. From the music to the smallest of details, the game is highly polished and enjoyable. For me, it’s about exploring the world and getting lost in it’s immersive environments. I have many screenshots of my adventures and will one day post them for everyone to see.
For the Alliance!
