Good Beer, Fine Wine... and Fast Food?
It’s Friday, and the last thing you want to do is take the time to cook a gourmet meal. Fast food sounds like a good choice, but you have just bought a great bottle of wine or some tasty beer. You can’t drink a good beer or a fine wine with this fast food junk... or can you?
That is exactly what I used to think until I did exactly that. The meal was just as good of an experience to me as drinking some good beer or a fine bottle of wine with a delicately prepared steak. It was quick, easy, and within 15 minutes after work i was relaxed, ready for the weekend, and enjoying the sunset on my balcony. All of this while eating my McDonalds Quarter Pounder with Cheese and a Large Fry and soothing French Bordeaux. If Bordeaux is a wine to drink with greasy food, than it makes perfect sense to me to have it with McDonalds. The next day I continued my trend of fast food with Chick Fill-A Tenders and a Fat Tire Ale. This was again an enjoyable experience. Even more enjoyable was not having to do the dishes.
Instead of drinking sugar and caffeine infused soda with your fast food meal, try it with your favorite beer or wine to see what I am talking about. To me this is the only way to eat fast food. Good Beer and Fine Wine with Fast Food, may not be the greatest combinations, but it’s a combinations that works. In some cases it can be more satisfying. So the next time you don’t feel like cooking, and need a drink, try your favorite beer or bottle of wine with your choice of fast, consistent, and inexpensive fast food.
Peace :)
