Seafood Stuffing
Seafood Stuffing is a recipe given to me by my
buddy Travis. This dish is very rich but good.
It takes about 2 hours to create.
It was my first time baking something to eat.
Needless to say it was an amusing experience
for me.
Description:
Everyone who tries this says it's fantastic. That's assuming you like like seafood. It's not inexpensive to make but man is it good. Feel free to mix it up a little. It is soul food.
Ingredients:
2 16 oz. cans of cornbread mix (Marie Callenders works nicely)
1 White Onion
½ Green Bell pepper
4 Stalks of Celery
1 Teaspoon of Sage
3 tablespoons of butter
1 ½ cups of small shrimp
1 ½ cups of crab meat
1 can of cream of mushroom soup (26 oz.)
2 cups of water
¾ Roll of breakfast pan sausage (Hot)
Large baking dish (at least 16x9)
Directions:
Mix and bake your cornbread. (Set aside to cool before you continue)
Chop your onion, bell pepper and celery up and saute in butter. (set aside)
Brown your sausage (set aside)
In one large pot combine Veggies, Crab, Shrimp, Sausage, Cream of Mushroom Soup, Water and let cook on medium heat (for 15 min) and remove from heat.
Break up cornbread into pot with meat and soup and fold gently into mixture.
Spread new mixture into the lightly greased 16X9 bake pan and bake at 350 degrees until stuffing is solid and very brown.
Hope you enjoy.
Peace :)
