To the Bay and Beyond

It’s been way to long since my last blog post.  I’ve been extremely busy and preoccupied with many new adventures.  One of which is helping to develop the classic adventure game, Tales of Monkey Island at Telltale Games.  Episode 1 of 5 released today on the PC!  It will soon be available on the Wii.  Download it today for a great time and a few laughs.

I moved to San Francisco to develop Monkey Island in April.  Ever since I made the move, it has been nonstop for me with something new to experience every weekend.  San Francisco has always been a fun place that I would visit for GDC, but now I get to experience it every day.  I found a place in the Presidio and enjoy the beautiful trails and landscapes that make up the area.  It’s a nice sanctuary within the city that is perfect for my lifestyle.

Outside my office there is a great view of the bay.  Everyday a new canvas showcases the beauty of the bay.  It is surreal to be able to look out into the ocean from your desk and a great way to relax your eyes from screen burn.

Since I moved to California, I picked up two new hobbies.  The first is horseback riding.  With a family ranch in Hollister it was the perfect time for me to learn how to really ride a horse.  I have gone horseback riding before, but it has always been at some resort on a predetermined path.  After taking a few lessons from my Aunt Cindy, I was ready to ride and explore wherever I wanted.  The horse I ride is named Angel and she acts the part.  The second of my hobbies involves brewing beer.  I already have multiple batches on the way and will have more to say about my brewing adventures at a latter date.

On a bit more of the crazy side, I participated in the Bay to Breakers 10K.  The event was on of the wildest and most entertaining experiences I’ve had.  Everyone is San Francisco gathers in the streets for one big party.  This is the only picture I have that is safe to show, lol. 

Now that I am a bit more settled, I’ll be posting more often.  Every month a new episode of Monkey Island will be releasing so stay tuned for more great games.  San Francisco is one fun town and the imagery and information I’ve provided only scratches the surface of my California adventures.  Many more to come...
